SOUTH BLOCK DESCRIPTION
South Block is comprised of 3224.3ha of steep to rolling tussock country. Multiply high peaks and wide, open gulleys, endless spots for glassing, some native scrub and bush towards the back of the block. Good deer numbers are regularly seen in this block holding multiply herds with mature stags. Many tracks spread throughout the South Block.
SOUTH BLOCK ACCOMMODATION
Option 1 - Cook Shop
This beautifully restored historical hut was built in the late 1800's. The hut sits under the shadow of the mighty Mount Peel in a peaceful gulley just off the Orari River.
The hut is accessible by a 4x4 farm track along the Orari River and you can drive right to the front door. It is a perfect spot for a family getaway or fishing trip along the Orari River.
Cook Shop includes..
- The Cook Shop can sleep up to 6 people - 4 bedrooms, two doubles, two twin rooms.
- Kitchen and lounge area with a fully equipped kitchen supplies, tv and sofa.
- Bathroom with a toilet and shower
- BBQ with gas supplied.
- This stay includes bottom sheets & pillows cases for each bed, all kitchen needs, fridge/freezer, beer fridge, free WIFI and fire wood.
Option 2 - Steward's Hut Camp
Bell tents with an outdoor kitchen, camp shower and toilet set up. A minimum of 3 bell tents will be available. This set up puts your right in the heart of the action. Easy access to great spots to glass from. Our Bell tents come fully set up with beds, linen etc.
